Project Financial Framework:

The Greece4.0 project “Network of Excellence for the Development, Dissemination and Implementation of Digital Transformation Technologies in the Greek Manufacturing Industry” is implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0”, with funding from the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

Greece 4.0 at a glance:

  • Topic: ICT – Industry 4.0 / Optimization of production processes with Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS).
  • Collaborative structure: 8 partners from Greece.
  • Main direction: Industry 4.0 solutions (data, robotics, digital twins, IIoT, AR/VR, cybersecurity, cloud).
  • Digital platform: functions as a marketplace for easy access of the production network to the results.

Purpose & Object of the project:

Within the framework of the Greece 4.0 project, optimization solutions for industrial Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) are being developed and matured, with the aim of supporting the digital transformation of Greek manufacturing and the adoption of good and smart practices in production.

Technologies & Solutions:

The solutions are designed with realistic industrial conditions in mind, as well as utilizing modern Industry 4.0 digital technologies such as, among others, collection and analysis of large data sets (Big Data Analytics), autonomous and cooperative robotic systems (Autonomous and Cooperative Robotic Systems), digital twins (Digital Twins), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Virtual Reality technologies (Augmented Reality – AR, Virtual Reality VR), cybersecurity (Cybersecurity) and cloud computing (Cloud).

Indicatively, solutions such as self-propelled robotic systems for warehouse management and production line operations, as well as individual applications that connect data, automation and intelligent decision support are included.

Expected Benefits:

CPS optimization solutions are expected to help industries transform their operations based on data, achieving improvements in productivity and automation, better forecast accuracy, and supporting on-time delivery.

Digital Platform:

The project provides an online results dissemination platform, which functions as a marketplace for easy access by members of the Greek productive network to the results and solutions of Greece 4.0.

Partners:

Greece 4.0 is implemented by a collaborative scheme of 8 partners, selected to cover complementary capabilities and technological areas of Industry 4.0 and to ensure high-level research and dissemination of results.
